ISIS attack on Syrian regime checkpoints kills five soldiers

An attack by ISIS targeted the Syrian regime forces' checkpoints in the eastern desert of Homs last night and five soldiers were killed.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that ISIS members attacked the checkpoints of Syrian regime forces in the eastern desert of Homs last night.

According to the observatory, the attack led to the eruption of violent clashes between both sides, which continued until dawn today, and resulted in the killing of five regime soldiers.

SOHR stated that our military vehicles headed towards the area to transfer the dead and injured to Palmyra National Hospital.

According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2023 has increased to 524.
