HRE fighter martyred in fight against Turkish occupation

HRE fighter Cesur Efrîn died on Sunday while resisting the Turkish occupation in Afrin. HRE stated that his struggle for freedom will continue and his dreams kept alive.

The Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) announced the martyrdom of one of their fighters, Cesur Efrîn, in resistance against the Turkish occupation in HRE on 4 September 2022.

According to HRE, Cesur Efrîn's real name was Ehmed Mihemed and he was born in Afrin.

"After the occupation of Afrin, many young people joined our forces out of anger against the occupiers and to liberate their region. One of them was our companion Cesur. Cesur was still very young when his home was occupied. He experienced both the occupation and the resistance of the fighters of his people. For him, it was a logical consequence to join the freedom fighters. Comrade Cesur had a combative personality and showed great commitment in his life. As HRE, we will continue his struggle and keep his dream of freedom alive. We are convinced that the people of Afrin, the Kurdish people and especially young people will fill the gap left by our comrade Cesur. We remember Cesur Efrîn and all the other martyrs with respect and gratitude. We extend our condolences to his relatives and our people," said the statement by the Afrin Liberation Forces.
