The Civil Defense Units (YPS) and Women's Units (YPS-JIN) Coordination released a written statement on the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan and the suddenly interrupted phone call with his brother.

The statement described the state's actions as a "new dimension of isolation torture” and said that, in this way, the regime is attempting to legitimize its torture system. The YPS/YPS-JIN stressed that the time for "creative and tactical actions" has come.

The YPS/YPS-JIN called on the people to take actions at all levels and continued, "While our people take their protest to the streets in the consciousness of self-defense, it is the task of our units to fulfill their responsibility in a creative way through appropriate forms of action."

YPS/YPS-JIN called on their units to immediately mobilize and expand their actions against the isolation on Imrali and Turkish fascism.
