Young people in Hannover protest Turkey's use of chemical weapons

Young people in Hannover protested in front of the radio-television channel NDR to expose the Turkish state and its use of chemical weapons against the Kurds, as well as Germany, which supports Ankara.

The Kurdistan Students Union (YXK) and Kurdistan Women Students (JXK) in Hannover carried out a civil disobedience action together with young internationalists as part of the Werin Cenga Azadiyê campaign.

The young people gathered in front of the building of NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk), a radio and television broadcasting channel, to protest the chemical weapons attacks carried out by the Turkish state against Kurdistan.

The young people, who opened a banner reading "Türkei tötet mit Giftgas, Deutschland finanziert" (Turkey is attacking with gas, Germany is financing it), wanted to enter the building, but security prevented them from doing so.

The activists then presented a file to a NDR official.

The protest ended with a statement read by the young people denouncing Turkey for the use of chemical weapons and the German state that supports it.
