Court sends 11 adults and 3 children to prison

Three children and 11 adults were remanded in custody out of the 26 people taken into custody in the political genocide operations organized in Istanbul.

26 people were taken into custody in a political genocide operations carried out in many districts by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on 13 February were brought to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan after the police statement.

The court ordered the arrest of 11 people, including 3 children, while 15 people were released. Another 4 people were released under judicial control.

The names of the 11 people remanded in custody are as follows: Ayhan Emekçi, Barış Koçar, Cesur Yılmaz, Erdoğan Özbey, Halil Ibrahim Baçaru, Merve Yılmaz, Murat Metin and Ramazan Özdemir.

The children sent to prison have been named as Izzet Özmen, Yakup Genç and Azat Siyahtaş and were sent to Maltepe Children and Youth Closed Penal Institution.
