The campaign "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan and a political solution to the Kurdish question" runs on many levels. Part of this campaign involves sending letters to the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT), which is responsible for monitoring prison conditions in Imrali.
There has been no sign of life from Abdullah Öcalan for more than three years. In Freiburg, the Nûda Women's Council organized the protest and was able to collect 857 letters and send them to Strasbourg. The activists demanded that the CPT finally break the silence and do something about the isolation on Imrali.
