Turkish police detain 200 in raids against paper collectors in Istanbul
Turkish police carried out raids targeting paper collectors in Ataşehir, Istanbul, and around 200 people were detained.
Police teams raided at least 49 addresses in Ataşehir, Istanbul in an operation targeting paper collectors.
Following the raids, in which nearly 200 paper collectors were detained, the materials in the paper collection warehouses were confiscated.
It is reported that the detainees were taken to the Istanbul Provincial Immigration Administration Removal Center in Tuzla, where they would be deported from.
