In Afrin Canton of Northern Syria, the Turkish army, ISIS/Al-Nusra gangs are not only committing massacres against civilian population but also plunder the villages and homes of Kurdish locals.
The Turkish army and allied gangs are plundering all the villages and sub-districts they have invaded in Northern Syria. According to reliable sources, the Turkish army is prompting the gangs to war by giving a fatwa that the properties in invaded villages are spoil of war and halal. In this way, the gangs are plundering everything that counts for something in the villages they enter.
Reports suggest that gang groups share the invaded villages among themselves and confiscate the properties in the villages that fall to their share. According to reports, Turkish troops enter the villages after the plundering by gang groups is done.
On the other hand, after the emergence of video footage from “chicken theft” and seizure of a villager’s tractor, the Turkish army has instructed the gang leaders to not record any videos during the plundering, and to remove the license plates of the stolen tractors and cars.
It is reported that the goods plundered by the gangs in villages, such as cars, construction equipment, agricultural instruments, white goods, animals and olive oil are later taken to several cities including Idlib, Hatay, Kilis, Antep, Azaz, Jarablus and Bab, and sold there. The properties plundered in villages of Jindires are mainly sold in Idlib and Hatay, those plundered in villages of Shiye and Rajo sold in Hatay and Antep and those plundered in villages of Shera are sold in Kilis, Azaz and Jarablus.
