Three-day Long March which left from Lavrio camp ends today in Athens

The three-day Long March which left from Lavrio camp in Greece, will end today in Athens.

The three-day Long March, which started in the Lavrio camp, will end today in the capital, Athens. The Long March was organised to protest the Turkish invasion attacks on Kurdistan.

Four activists spoke about their aims on the second day of the march, which started in Marco Paulo.

Pir Shaliyar:

“The 1 June initiative is not only against imperialism and the Turkish army, but also against intra-party liquidation, factionalism and treachery. Long live our party leader, long live the workers and laborers' party PKK, long live our army HPG, long live the women's army YJA Star.”

Emel Arslan:

This is a march against occupation and betrayal. Nobody should think that the actions of the Kurdish people will end in one, two or three days. We will resist, stand up and defend by supporting the guerrillas until we eliminate the invasion and treachery.

Ramazan Menteşe:

We are marching because the KDP betrayal is a partner in brutal attacks against our people and the guerrillas. Our people must be vigilant, protect the guerrillas against this betrayal, and stand behind them.

Ferman Erkek:

This march is for the guerrillas, for a free country, against the betrayal of the KDP, against the invasion of the Turkish state. Our march is here today. Tomorrow it will be in Zap, Avaşîn and the four parts of Kurdistan.

Eyşan Xanuş Zengin:

A genocide is taking place in Zap, Avaşîn and all four parts of Kurdistan. We are protesting the KDP with this march. The Turkish state attacked our guerrillas and fighters through the KDP. Today is the day of struggle for the Kurds. If it is not fought, it will take another 100 years. For this reason, everyone should do whatever they can. Even if our march comes to an end today, our struggle will continue.
