Strasbourg hunger strikers continue their fast against isolation

Visitors continued to pay their respect to hunger strikers.

Hunger strikers in Strasbourg were visited by people from Frankfurt and Gothenburg people’s councils as well as Çira TV employees.

'This is an honorable struggle'

Bozo Gundi spoke on behalf of Çira TV team composed by Evin Merdin and Orhan Zerdeşti. Gundi said: “We brought you the greetings from Çira TV employees. This action is an honorable part of the struggle carried out in the four parts of Kurdistan.”

Gundi said he was convinced that the hunger strike led by the DTK co-chair and HDP Hakkari deputy Leyla Güven would succeed in the lifting of the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

‘Erdoğan regime is getting more fascist by the day’

Ali Agiri spoke on behalf of the People's Council in Gothenburg. He said that the People’s Council is working with Kurds and their friends in Sweden.

Agiri underlined that Erdoğan regime is getting more fascist by the day, and this has become known to all Europe. “The struggle of the Kurdish people is seen and appreciated by the people of Europe. It has exposed the fascist dictatorship ruling in Turkey.”

Agiri stated that “the European press, including the Swedish press, did not properly cover the hunger strike resistance”, and added that “the international conspiracy is continuing. The aim of these actions is to free our Leader. This is the most powerful aim of the hunger strike action led by Leyla Güven.”
