SDF liberates dozens of areas in two days

SDF fighters have liberated dozens of areas from ISIS in two days in the Operation Cizire Storm.

Fighters of the YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are making further advances in Hasakah (Hesekê) countryside as part of the Operation Cizire Storm. Following the recent liberation of the strategic Dashisha town, SDF fighters have cleared several areas to the south of the town.

During the past two days, SDF has liberated dozens of villages and hamlets south of Dashisha and near the Iraqi border from ISIS mercenaries. SDF forces have also freed a large number of civilians whom ISIS used as human shields.

ISIS mercenaries are now stranded in a 100 km area near the Iraqi border.

Regarding the ongoing Operation Cizire Storm, SDF fighter Mihemed El Casim said the following; “Our campaign will continue until the Syria-Iraq border has been cleared of ISIS gangs. During the past two days, we have cleared dozens of villages and hamlets. Suffering a defeat at the hands of SDF, ISIS mercenaries are laying mines and bombs in the region. As SDF fighters, we will be wherever the mercenaries are.”
