Rally and cards action in Mannheim to demand freedom for Öcalan

A group of Kurdish citizens living in Mannheim held a rally and then sent cards demanding freedom for Abdullah Öcalan.

A rally was held in Mannheim to condemn the 25-year of absolute isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and to demand his freedom.

At the rally at Parandaplatz, in the city center, activists pointed out that there had been no news from Öcalan for 34 months and that he had not been allowed to meet with his family or lawyers. "We will not stop until we hear from our Leader," said the activists.

Following the rally, the activists sent dozens of cards to Abdullah Öcalan in Imrali.

As part of the Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan and political solution to the Kurdish question international campaign, activists are sending postcards to Imrali.
