Writer Adil Başaran and HDP Deputy Provincial co-chair Ahmet Eken were detained in home raids in Artuklu and Kızıltepe, province of Mardin, early this morning. It was learned that many houses were raided.

Those detained were taken to Mardin Provincial Security Directorate. It was stated that in the Mardin-based operation, 26 people were also taken into custody in Istanbul, Bursa, Amed, Urfa and Antalya, and the operation targeted the activities of the Democratic Society Congress (DTK).
