Police forces have conducted an extensive operation against HDP members in the western province of Aydın this morning.

The raid operation targeted a number of addresses housing executives of HDP provincial and Efeler district branches, as well as members of HDP Provincial Youth Assembly. Many have been detained in the operation, the reason of which was not immediately clear.

While the detainees have been taken to Aydın Police Directorate following a health control at hospital, the raid operation continues across the city, and the number of detainees is expected to increase.
