Thousands of Kurds and their friends gathered in Munich to celebrate Newroz, Kurdish New Year. In the most crowded Newroz celebration of recent years, the slogan 'Bijî Serok Apo' [Long Live Leader Öcalan] never stopped.
Maruf Kul on behalf of KCDK-E (Congress of Democratic Communities of Kurdistan in Europe) and FED-GEL (Federation of Kurdistan Communities) and Faysal Sarıyıldız, DEM Party Co-Representative in Germany, addressed the crowd.
The speakers pointed out that while the invaders' brutal attacks against Kurdistan and the Kurdish people continue every day, great resistance against the occupation has also developed, and great prices have been paid for the freedom of Kurdistan and for a free and dignified life.
Demanding freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, speakers called on the Kurdish people to increase the struggle.
The message of YJK-E, the Kurdish Women's Movement in Germany, was also read during the celebration.
After the speeches, artists Bermal Çem, Hozan Kawa and Onur Evîn took the stage.
