Hundreds joined a demonstration in Manbij to protest the February 15 conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan on its 18th anniversary.
The march in protest at the conspiracy, organised by Manbij Democratic Arab Youth's Movement with the motto “There Can Be No Life Without the Leader”, began from Martyr Faysal Abû Leyla Boulevard and continued till the town center.
Demonstrators, made up of mainly youths, observed one minute's silence in memory of the martyrs of the revolution on arriving at the town center.
Speaking here, Manbij Democratic Arab Youth's Movement member Muhsin Casım stressed that Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan resisted for all the peoples in the region.
Manbij Civilian Assembly Co-chair Faruk Al-Mashi pointed out that the gains attained in Northern Syria have been achieved thanks to the philosophy of Öcalan.
Manbij Women's House member Henan Mihemed called February "a black month", saying: "The conspiratory powers cannot frustrate the ideas of Leader Apo whose philosophy has enlightened the freedom path of all peoples."
"From Manbij to İmralı, We Are With You", "Öcalan Is the Symbol of Freedom", "Öcalan's Freedom Is The Freedom of Peoples" and "Öcalan Taught Us The Fraternity of Peoples" read the banners carried by the demonstrators.
