Kurdish young boy Ali Baygören laid to rest in London

Kurdish youth Ali Baygören, who was stabbed to death in London, was laid to rest by hundreds of people.

A farewell ceremony was held at the Cemevi in London for 17-year-old Kurdish boy Ali Baygören, who was stabbed to death in North London last week. In addition to Baygören's family, British Alevi Federation (BAF) co-chair Dilek Incedal, BAF former President Israfil Erbil, Cemevi co-chair Filiz Koç, Kurdish People's Assembly, Gik-Der and representatives of local associations attended the ceremony.

Hundreds of people attended the farewell ceremony, while candles were lit and flowers were placed at the memorial. Dede Mehmet Yüksel conducted the funeral. He said that society should protect its own identity and future.

The boy was buried in Chingford Cemetery.

Kurdish young boy Ali Baygören was stabbed to death on 18 June in London. Tens of thousands of people took to the streets and marched to the police station with the slogans "Murderer state, murderer police".
