Kurdish students protest for freedom of Öcalan in Berlin

The Kurdish student associations JXK and YXK have protested in Berlin for the freedom of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.

In Berlin activists from the JXK (Women Students from Kurdistan) and the YXK (Association of Students from Kurdistan) protested with an information stand at the busy train station Rathaus Spandau for the freedom of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has been isolated on the prison island Imrali for 22 years.

Passers-by were informed about the importance of Abdullah Öcalan and his isolation on the prison island of Imrali through speeches, leaflets and brochures. The activists caused a stir with a performance in which a cell was set up where an activist masked as Öcalan was sitting.

After about two hours, the action within the campaign "Stop isolation, fascism and occupation - together to the uprising" was successfully completed.
