Isolation protested in front of Hannover Parliament

Hannover Women's Assembly promoted a demonstration in front of Hannover Parliament to protest isolation.

The Hannover Women's Assembly protested the isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan with a demonstration in front of the Hannover Parliament.

The women expressed their solidarity and support for the hunger strike resistance and called on the German government and the international institutions to take their responsibility and act with Turkey over isolation.

In particulare women urged the Committee on the Prevention of Torture (CPT) to urge Turkey to end isolation, reminding that the European body had recently visited prisons, including Imrali.

Activists said that those who remain silent are actually partner in crime and cannot deny their responsabilities should anything happen to the hunger strikers.

Leaflets informing the German public opinion about the hunger strike and death fast resistance were handed out in front of the Parliament.
