The Iraqi Supreme Electoral Commission announced the final results of the provincial council elections.

The Iraqi Supreme Electoral Commission announced the final results of the provincial council elections held across Iraq on 18 December.

According to the latest data, Kurds won 7 seats in Kirkuk, 5 with the PUK and 2 with the KDP.

In addition to the Kurdish parties winning 7 seats, the Arab Coalition won 5, the Turkmen Front 2 and the Christians won 1 from the minority quota.

The new Kirkuk provincial council will consist of 11 males, 4 females and 1 minority quota chairs. According to the agreements made, the PUK will have 6 chairs, including the Christian minority chair led by Rayan Keldani.
