Indonesian Working People’s Party expresses solidarity with the HDP
The Working People’s Party/ Partai Rakyat Pekerja of Indonesia expresses solidarity with the HDP.
The Working People’s Party (PRP) Indonesia strongly condemned the ban proceedings against the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) in Turkey.
In a statement, party's Central Committee member Rizal Assalam said: "The attempt by Erdogan administration to ban the HDP is coming after years of repression of the democratic opposition forces in Turkey, including recent arrest and imprisonment of numerous elected mayors and parliamentarians and party leader of the HDP since 2019.
This is undemocratic and clearly an attempt by authoritarian regime of Erdogan to eliminate people’s movement in Turkey."
