HDP youth member forced into a car and pressured to become an informer

HDP youth member Çekdar Aksucu was put in a police vehicle yesterday and pressure has been put on him to become an informer.

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Youth Assembly made a press conference at the Kayapınar district building about the forcible detention of Çektar Aksucu, one of its members, by the police and the proposal made to him to become an informer. HDP Amed MP Dersim Dağ and many youth members attended the press conference.

HDP Amed MP Dersim Dağ said that dozens of members were kidnapped and tortured in Amed recently.

‘The government is waging a war against young people’

HDP Youth Assembly member Yusuf Acar also stated that the AKP-MHP government is waging a war against the revolutionary and democratic opposition groups. Acar said: “In such a process where isolation is deepening and the peoples are tried to be subjugated in the person of Mr. Abdullah Öcalan, we young people are also exposed to these policies of elimination. We once again state that they cannot discourage us with these methods.”

Acar stated that six of his friends were kidnapped and tortured in Amed in the last 15 days, "Finally, at 12 pm on Monday, our Youth Assembly member Çekdar Aksucu was stopped and checked while he was leaving our Yenişehir district organization and then forced into a black Renault car for half an hour. He was subjected to psychological torture and offered to become an informer.”
