Hearing of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Van MP and former co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ resumed today at Adana 11th Criminal Court of First Instance. Yüksekdağ, jailed in Kandıra Type F Closed Prison, refused to attend the hearing through video conference system SEGBİS.

Yüksekdağ was given 1 year prison sentence for alleged charge of “insulting the Turkish Republic Government” due to her speeches during a funeral and a press statement organized by HDP Adana branch at Uğur Mumcu Square on October 12, 2015.
