Dozens of mercenaries captured in Deir ez-Zor
Several mercenaries were captured and ammunition was seized as a result of the operation conducted by Deir ez-Zor Military Council against ISIS sleeper cells in the region.
A statement published on the official website of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on July 1 announced that Deir ez-Zor Military Council had launched an operation against ISIS sleeper cells in Deir ez-Zor to meet the demands of the city population and tribes in the region.
During the ongoing operation to clear the region of the gangs, Deir ez-Zor Military Council fighters have seized a large quantity of ammunition in the villages of Shihel, Ziban and Rez near the Euprates River shore.
Dozens of mercenaries have been captured in the operation.
