Doctor Beate Ergün, long time friend of Kurds, passes away in Aachen

Doctor Beate Ergün, who worked for the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle for the last 40 years, passed away.

Kurdish friend Beate Ergün (63) was living in Aachen. She died of a brain tumour. Ergün, a dentist, has been carrying out foreign relations work within the Aachen Kurdish People's House for 40 years.

Ergün, who played a role in the organization of various events in support of the Kurdish people both in her city and throughout Germany, was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour. She was treated in the hospital for 2 months.

The family of the doctor and the Kurdish People's House said in a message: “Our Beate was a very special person. We will never forget her. Memory is a window through which we can see her and feel her in our hearts.

Beate Ergün will be buried at Hüls Cemetery in Aachen after a ceremony.
