The Revolutionary Youth Movement and Young Women's Union call upon young people to lead the resistance against the attacks on Syria and to take their place on the battle fronts, saying, “Now is the time to revive the spirit of revolution.”
The Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women's Union made a joint written statement regarding the latest wave of attacks by the occupying Turkish state and affiliated gangs in Syria. Referring to the ongoing wars in the Middle East, the statement said that the war in question affected the whole of Syria.
The joint statement released on Sunday said the following:
“The only solution to this war is to rely on the power of self-defence. As is known, the gangs started their attacks on 27 November with the support of the occupying and fascist Turkish state. For this reason, as young people and young women, we must be ready for all kinds of wars and conflicts and be able to lead the resistance against these wars.
As the Revolutionary Youth Movement and Young Women's Union, we are ready to protect our people and our lands. We will resist and fight against these dirty attacks with the ideology, belief and strength we receive from Leader APO (Abdullah Öcalan), and with the spirit of sacrifice we inherited from Martyr Asya and Martyr Rojger. On this basis, we call on all young people to mobilise and join the self-defence forces to defend themselves and fight.
Young Kurdish, Arab, Armenian, Syriac and Turkmen men and women must support the self-defence forces on the fronts of war and defend their country together as always. Every young person living in North and East Syria should see themselves as the freedom fighter of Leader APO and take responsibility in this direction, because self-defence is the most natural right.
With the dynamism of the youth and the thought and philosophy of Leader APO, ISIS gangs were defeated, and the invasion attacks of the occupying Turkish state were prevented. Now is the time to revive the spirit of revolution. In this historic period, let us mobilise with the spirit of 19 July and win the peoples' revolution.
Let's end the dirty war in the Middle East, let's frustrate all kinds of dirty plans. Let us create a free, equal and honourable life for all oppressed peoples. Come, join the Freedom War, fight, protect your land and your country.”
