Body of Russian soldier saved by YPG reaches Moscow

The body of the Russian soldier who lost his life in the operation to liberate Palmyra (Tedmur) was saved from the gangs by YPG and has arrived in Russia.

The body of the Russian soldier who lost his life in the operation to liberate Palmyra (Tedmur) was saved from the gangs by YPG and has arrived in Russia.

YPG forces had conducted an operation by Russia’s request and saved the body of Russian soldier Alexander Prohorenko who lost his life in Palmyra from ISIS gangs.

The statement issued by the Russian Defense Ministry says, “It is an honour for our ministry that a hero of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant Alexandr Prohorenko’s body has been recovered from the hands of terrorists and brought to our country.”

The statement also mentions that “The Russian Rambo’s body has arrived in Moscow following special procedures by Syrian government officials and the YPG.”
