Balance sheet of Til Hemis–Til Berak operation released

YPG General Command has released the balance sheet of battle in the towns of Til Hemis-Til Berak in Cizîrê Canton of West Kurdistan, Rojava. The operation to liberate both towns and surrounding rural areas was launched on 21 February and successfully completed on 9 March.
According to the balance sheet, an area of 2,940 square kilometers, which involves 390 villages and hundreds of hamlets, has been cleansed of ISIS gangs and liberated as a result of the operation.
YPG General Command reported that a total of 245 ISIS members were killed and of these, corpses of 134 were seized during the 17-day operation. 5 other members of the gangs were captured alive.
The statement said that defense forces also seized a remarkable amount of ammunition and arms belonging to the gangs, including 1 tank, 3 panzers, 5 Hammer type armored vehicles, 7 pick-up trucks, 3 military trucks, 2 minibuses, 1 ambulance, 2 motorcycles and two vehicles loaded with TNT explosives.
Among the materials seized are also computers, phones, a mobile hospital, a truck of medicine, as well as thousands of bullets and large numbers of arms.
