“Aid organizations should fulfill their responsibility"

Deir ez-Zor Civilian Council Co-chair Dr. Xesan El-Yûsif stated that the means the council has is not enough to cover the necessities for over 15 thousand refugees and called on NGOs to take responsibility for refugees from Deir ez-Zor and provide aid.

Deir ez-Zor Civilian Council Co-chair Dr. Xesan El-Yûsif stated that the number of refugees in Abû Khashab, Al-Bohemîd, Al-Mîlac and Al-Boshams refugee camps in Deir ez-Zor has exceeded 15 thousand and that they do not have enough supplies to provide for them, which is causing the refugees to lead a very difficult life.

Dr. Xesan El-Yûsif visited the camps in Deir Ez Zor and met with refugees, where he called on NGOs to provide aid to them. He said: “NGOs should provide aid in food and medicine with an awareness of humanitarian responsibility.”

El-Yûsif also said: “This chaos in Deir ez-Zor and its countryside has worsened in particular with the arrival of refugees who have fled the regime and ISIS gangs. Refugees come to SDF controlled areas and are settled in the Abu Khashab, Al-Bohemîd, Al-Mîlac and Al-Boshams camps in Deir ez-Zor. The number of these refugees has exceeded 15 thousand and because the supplies are very limited, they are unable to receive any more refugees.”

People who have had to migrate due to the Syrian regime forces and ISIS gangs arrive in SDF controlled areas. The Deir ez-Zor Civilian Council tries to provide aid for them despite their very limited means.
