Activists protest for Sakine, Fidan, Leyla in front of the French Consulate in The Hague
A demonstration was held in front of the French Consulate in The Hague, the Netherlands for the three Kurdish women murdered in Paris 11 years ago.
Kurds are taking to the streets today to demand justice for PKK founding member Sakine Cansız (Sara), Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) Paris Representative Fidan Doğan (Rojbîn) and Kurdish Youth Movement member Leyla Şaylemez (Ronahî), who were murdered by the Turkish state in Paris on 9 January 2013.
A black wreath was laid in front of the French Consulate in The Hague, the Netherlands for the three Kurdish women revolutionaries.
In the demonstration promoted by the Ronahî Women's Assembly in the Netherlands, activists demanded that the French state share the information and documents it has about the massacre with the court and lawyers. The group called on France to expose the guilt of the Turkish state, not to hide it.
Emphasizing that protests will continue until the truth is revealed, activists vowed that: "We will remain committed to the memory of Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez."
