Days of action to Defend Kurdistan

Since 23 December, the attacks against the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria / Rojava have reached a new level of escalation.
Protests to defend Kurdistan will take place tomorrow and Saturday.

People around Europe and the world are taking to the streets to protest the Turkish attacks on North and East Syria.

Tomorrow, 29, and Saturday, 30, have been declared days of actions to defend Kurdistan.

The promoters said in their statement: "Whether rallies or demonstrations, flyer campaigns or actions that put pressure on established politicians: we can use various means to break the silence on the attacks on the Rojava Revolution."

The statement added: "The Turkish air force bombed civilian infrastructure and several settlement areas in the autonomous region from Dêrik to Tirbespiyê. Once again, the energy infrastructure is the main target of the attacks, but also a train station, a printing office, a sewing shop and a Covid-19 hospital. This means a campaign of war against the civilian population and against the structures of the Autonomous Administration.

At the beginning of October, there was already a massive Turkish war of aggression against the region with 580 air and ground attacks. The vital infrastructure was also targeted at that time."

The statement added: "The attacks by NATO's second-largest power against the population in North and East Syria are continuing! We see how the Turkish state is waging a war against life and the democratic model of society in the region under the guise of "fighting terrorism". The international community, including to a large extent the Federal Republic of Germany, is significantly responsible for this situation. The whole world is confronted with attacks by capitalist states. We call for a joint struggle against this war machine!"
