Şenyaşar family calls for unity against injustice on 257th day of their Vigil

The Şenyaşar Family says on the 257th day of their Vigil for Justice: "We need to unite and say 'stop' to oppression, injustice and this crisis."

Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguard and relatives on 14 June 2018 in Suruç, began a Vigil for Justice in front of the courthouse in Urfa together with her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the attack, 257 days ago. Since the courthouse is closed at the weekend, the family continues their vigil at home, in Suruç, in the province of Urfa.

The Şenyaşar family shared a post on their social media accounts. They wrote: "The injustice carried out at Şanlıurfa Palace of Justice is a threat to justice everywhere. Courage is needed. We need to unite and put an end to oppression, injustice and this crisis."

Mızraklı: We will learn a new life thanks to the mothers!

Amed Metropolitan Municipality co-mayor Selçuk Mızraklı, who was illegally deposed and is in prison in Kayseri Bünyan T 2 Prison, sent a message of support to the Şenyaşar Family. Mızraklı wrote: “A period lived with courage is better than a lifetime lived in cowardice. We will knit a new life with the courage of mothers seeking justice."
