Fierce clashes are taking place in 7 neighborhoods of Raqqa since Friday evening. SDF fighters have cleared 70 percent of the Hisham Abd Al-Malik neighborhood of ISIS gangs, in addition to several locations in al-Diriyah and Old Raqqa neighborhoods.

With their advance in Hisham Abd Al-Malik neighborhood, SDF fighters have broken the second line of defense of the gangs in the city, and tightened the siege around the gangs in the city centre.

Several ISIS members have been killed during ongoing clashes in al-Diriyah, Yarmouk, al-Nahda, al-Barid, Hisham Abd Al-Malik, al-Rawda and Old Raqqa neighborhoods but the exact number of the casualties inflicted on the gangs is not clear yet.

On the other hand, special units within the SDF have seized a large quantity of ammunition belonging to the gangs during mop-up operations in the northeastern part of the city.
