12 gang members killed, over 40 others wounded in Shehba

Revolutionary Forces responded to the attacks of the Turkey-backed gangs on Shehba region. 12 members of the gangs were killed, over 40 others were wounded during clashes.

Gang groups affiliated with the Turkish army that are situated in Azaz, Girê Malid and Mari regions with the goal of invading the region have launched an intensified attack on Shehba region liberated by Jaysh al-Thuwar and Revolutionary Forces.

The attacks carried out despite the Turkish army having announced the end of operations on March 30 targeted the villages of Merenaz, Vêlat al-Qadî, Simoqe, Hisiyê, Um al-Hosh, Um Qura, Bendava Şehba, Qol Sirûc, Til Medîq, Til Fifaet and Sheikh Îsa.

The attacks that damaged the houses of locals were harshly responded by Revolutionary Forces. 5 members of the gangs were killed and more than 40 others were wounded.

The attacks launched by the gangs on the positions of Jaysh al-Thuwar fighters in Hisiye, Um al-Hosh, Simoqiye and Sheikh Îsa villages at around 21:00 on April 4 continued into the morning hours.

Jaysh al-Thuwar fighters responded to the attacks and destroyed a vehicle of the gangs in Gire Malid area.

The latest wave of attacks on Shehba region was carried out last night, facing harsh response by Revolutionary Forces. 7 members of the gangs were killed and many more were wounded during clashes in Til Meqid, Simoqiye, Dibistana, Mushat, Hilise and Hisiye villages.

Attacks on Shehba region are reported to be ongoing intermittently.
