YPS (Civil Defense Units) General Coordination released a statement detailing an action conducted by their units in Hakkari's Gever (Yüksekova) district Friday evening.

According to the statement, YPS units carried out a sabotage action targeting one of the three armoured vehicles of Turkish forces patrolling in Gever's Güngör neighbourhood at 20:00 on October 14.

The targeted armoured vehicle was destroyed and at least 4 special operation police in it were killed in the action after which Turkish forces bombed the surrounding areas at random.

YPS said the action was carried out to avenge the 4 patriotic civilians murdered by police in Gever on October 8.
