YPG Press Office said that constant military operations conducted by joined forces of the People’s Defense Units (YPG) and the Women’s Defense Units (YPJ) continue to confront the ISIS gangs attempting occupation efforts near the city of Hesekê, Rojava (West) Kurdistan.

As part of the operation launched in west Hesekê the day before, YPG/YPJ forces continue making advances, both from Aziziyah neighborhood to the south of the city and from the Mt. Kezwan to the east.

After seizing control of the Neşwê crossroads last night, Defense Units are narrowing the circle around ISIS gangs in Hesekê from the western front of the city too. The exact number of ISIS casualties left in last night's clashes couldn't be verified, the statement said.

Regarding the situation in Kobanê, YPG said that the operations of Defense Units against ISIS-occupied areas to the south of Kobanê continue.

Starting a fresh operation in this region last night, YPG/YPJ troops liberated the strategically important Hill Şuxha, and continue making advances in this area. The number of ISIS casualties couldn't be verified here either, YPG added.
