YBŞ/YJŞ fighters Serhildan Til-Ezer, Senem Şingalî and Sîpan Welatî spoke to ANF about claims that they have left their positions.
“WE WILL DEFEND OUR PEOPLE AND VILLAGES UNTIL THE END”
Serhildan Til-Ezer: Some forces had come here a while ago and cleared a village, whereupon on political level claims were made alleging a withdrawal of the YBŞ from its positions, which is absolutely not true. The YBŞ is still maintaining all of its positions and has even advanced further. We are now in our villages, and the YBŞ is stationed also in the northern area and will never leave this region. Whatever force comes on us, no matter from where and no matter serving whom, we will on no account abandon our positions. Shengal belongs to us, and we the YBŞ are the children of the people of Shengal. As long as we and the name of YBŞ live, we will protect our villages. We will defend our people and villages until the very end. Nobody shall ever claim the YBŞ has shrunken or pulled back. They shall come and see with their own eyes how the YBSŞis holding all its positions firmly. The YBŞ is part of this people and Êzidxan."

Senem Şingalî: We, the Yazidi women have taken position in the frontlines and we will never abandon our positions, as some forces have alleged in official statements. We will remain in our positions as long as we live.Right now Siba and Til-Ezerstand before us. All those forces that have come to Shengal claim to have arrived for the protection of the Êzidî people. But all of them have only come to enforce their rule over Shengal. Currently some areas we have liberated are still filled with mines that are yet yo be cleared. As soon as these areas are cleared, we will call upon our Êzidî people to return to their homes. We will serve our people as much as we can. Our aim is to protect the people and free our land from all enemies.

Sîpan Welatî: I am positioned on the Heyalê ve Skîniyê front. The allegations that the YBŞ have abandoned its positions are false. Every area we liberated is for our Êzidî people, who have lived on these lands for ages.We will continue our struggle until the end, we will do everything we can and put all our efforts into the liberation of Êzidxan. We will enhance our struggle and keep on fighting to the last drop of blood for our people, until all these lands are freed. As for any force that is intruding from outside, on no account will we ever allow them to enter the areas under our protection. The YBŞ is the defense force of Êzidxan, is the resistance force of Shengal and has been formed and organized for the protection of the Êzidî people.”
