Hunger strike in Maxmur reaches day 38

The hunger strike in solidarity with the prisoners demanding the lifting of the isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan continues in Martyr Rustem Cudi Maxmur camp.

The hunger strike in solidarity with the prisoners demanding the lifting of the isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan continues in Martyr Rustem Cudi Maxmur camp. The action is led by Ishtar Assembly and has reached day 38th.

On Saturday the Martyrs' Families Assembly took over the hunger strike. It is the19th group to take over the action.

Speaking on behalf of the 18th group that just left the hunger strike, Şiyar Erkendi explained the importance and purpose of the action and said: “As it is known, there is a great pressure, attack and occupation on our people and the whole Middle East. There is a great isolation on Leader Öcalan. As long as this isolation continues, we will continue our actions, no matter the cost. We call out to all the Kurdish people. No matter where they are, anyone who says "I am a Kurd" should voice this protest."
