Turkish soldiers started a fire in the Şerevan highland in the countryside of Şırnak province on Saturday.

The fire continues to rage in the areas of Şerevan, Çemê Mezin and Xare Kuna and three other locations since. As no extinguishing work is being carried out, the flames continue to spread.

Local people are not allowed to try and put out the fire which has already reduced hundreds of trees to ashes.
