Two people suspected of the attack on KNK in Hewlêr taken into custody

Two suspects of planning the attack on the KNK South Kurdistan Representation office that resulted in the killing of Deniz Bülbün, were taken into custody on Wednesday and confessed to the crime.

In the attack on the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) South Kurdistan Representation office on 18 September, KNK member Deniz Bülbün was murdered.

File lawyer Aso Haşim confirmed that there were 3 suspects in the murder of Bülbün, and that 2 suspects, aged 38 and 45 and of Turkish origin, were taken into custody on Wednesday. Lawyer Haşim said that the shooter fled to Baghdad and the search for the man continues.

The two suspects confessed to their involvement in the murder of Deniz Bülbün, said lawyer Haşim, adding that the men will be tried within the framework of the terrorism law.
