Resistance continues in Amed's Silvan district where people have dug trenches and started self-defense in neighborhoods against the attacks and repression by police forces.

A youth was wounded after a bullet hit him in the right arm on Karabehlülbey Street of Kale neighborhood yesterday evening. While the youth was taken to hospital by the people around, no information was immediately available as to how he got wounded.

In the meantime, a 55-year-old woman by the name of Hatice Gözükür was also wounded by a bullet that hit her in the head as she sat in her house in Feridun neighborhood late yesterday evening.

The woman who was taken to Silvan State Hospital is reported to be in good state of health.
