Turkish soldiers shoot a youth on the border with South Kurdistan

Turkish soldiers shot Muhannet Abid Xelef (19), who was trying to cross over to Silopi from South Kurdistan. Xelef’s leg was amputated in the hospital, and Xelef is in urgent need of blood because his kidneys failed.

Turkish soldiers continue to attack and execute civilians on the border with Kurdistan. Accordingly, Turkish soldiers from the border guard post shot at a group of 10 people who were crossing over to Şırnak’s Silopi district from South Kurdistan on August 9. Muhannet Abid Xelef (19) got critically injured, and the other 9 civilians were deported. Xelef was taken to Dicle University Heart Hospital, and his right leg was amputated due to severe tissue loss. Both of Xelef’s kidneys failed due to the heavy loss of blood, and Xelef remains to be in criticial condition.

Xelef’s broder Emced Abid Xelef noted that his brother was shot while he was trying to visit his relatives in Ezidî camps in Turkey, and was purposefully delivered to the hospital late, which caused the amputation and heavy loss of blood.
