Turkish soldiers besiege villages in Mardin

Turkish troops have besieged the villages in Mardin’s Ömeryan region amid military dispatching.

Turkish army has carried out military dispatching with helicopter support to the Talate (Koruköy) and surrounding villages in Ömeryan region of Mardin, Northern Kurdistan.

The troops are preparing for an operation in the region they have besieged and local people are worried and concerned over the increased military activity. In the meantime, the governor’s office has made no announcement yet regarding a curfew or military operation in the region.

On the other hand, soldiers are reportedly damaging the vineyards and orchards of the villagers in the areas where they are stationed.
