Turkish jets bomb civilian residential areas

Turkish fighter jets have bombed civilian residential areas. Two civilians were wounded in the attack and the villagers suffered damages to their orchards and groves. There were no guerrillas harmed in the attacks.

The HPG Press Center issued a written statement on the air strikes carried out by the occupant Turkish army against Medya Defense Zones in northern Iraq, southern Kurdistan.

The HPG statement said:

“Fighter jets of the invading Turkish army have bombed the vicinity of the Lolan Stream in the Xakurke region in Medya Defense Zones on December 23 at 20:00, and the Ciyayares area in the Zap region at 21:00. We have no casualties in the bombings.

The jets also bombed the Surede and Sinemoka villages in the Surede area in the Qandil region on December 22 between 21:20 and 22:00.

2 civilians were wounded in the attack against Qandil’s villages and homes, orchards and groves of the people have suffered material damage.”
