Artillery fires opened from a military battalion in a village of Şemdinli hit the civilian area, as a result of which one woman was wounded.

Turkish troops from the military battalion in Tekeli (Gare) village in Hakkari's Şemdinli district opened mortar fires on the surrounding areas Sunday afternoon.

The mortar shells hit the civilian area in the village, which left a woman by the name of Sevgi Dayan wounded by shell fragments. Dayan was taken to Şemdinli State Hospital by the villagers.
