Following the clashes took place last night in Bingöl province Turkish soldiers set fire on the forests, reported the local sources.

It is reported that fire fighters of Regional Directorate of Forestry in Bingöl could not extinguished the fire started after clashes between Kurdish rebels and Turkish soldiers and orchards and haylofts belonging to the villagers were also partially destroyed.

After the clashes between the PKK guerrillas and the Turkish soldiers which increased recently, army is deliberately setting fire on the forested lands in order to prevent the rebels hide.
