Bakur (North Kurdistan) Municipalities Coordination and Kobanê Public Municipality released a joint statement regarding the ongoing works to clean up the ruins of the war-torn town in West Kurdistan, Rojava.

The statement was made at the headquarters formed for the works of the Bakur Municipalities Coordination following the arrival of the 3rd group from Bakurê Kürdistan Municipalities.

Speaking here, Kobanê Municipality executive Mehemed Sedîq started by extending thanks to the municipalities and people of Bakur which -he underlined- have never left Kobanê alone. He recalled that Kobanê, surrounded from three sides, could receive aid only from Bakur Kurdistan.

Speaking after on behalf of Bakur Municipalities Coordination, Hüseyin Yılmaz saluted the Kobanê people and martyrs on behalf of the Bakur people, and offered condolences to the families of the martyrs.

Yılmaz underlined that the Kobanê resistance was a fight serving not only the Kurdish people but also all humanity.

The third group from Bakur Municipalities will be staying in Kobanê and take part in the works to clean up the ruins of the town for a month.
