YPG reported that the circle around the gangs in Neşwê and Xwêran neighborhoods tightened during the operations against ISIS in Hesekê.

YPG Media center reported that the operations against gang groups trying to occupy Hesekê city center continue. YPG reported that the circle around ISIS gangs in Neşwê and Xwêran neighborhoods tightened after the circle’s completion and YPG’s entrance to Neşwê neighborhood. YPG stated that its forces finally reached Neşwê junction and the gangs’ attempts to break the siege continue.

According to the YPG statement, gangs attacked Dawidiyê and Vîlatê Sor neighborhoods last night but the attacks with explosive vehicles were quickly repelled by YPG forces. YPG reported that it also repelled the simultaneous ISIS attacks along the edges of Xabur creek. The number of gang casualties has not yet been identified and the YPG operations in and around Hasekê continue.

‘5 HILLS LIBERATED’

YPG said that its forces carried out a new operation in Kobanê and liberated 2 strategic hills around the village of Mecbele. YPG forces also liberated Ortê, Spî and Sirîn hills around the town of Sirîn and the clashes continue around the village of Mirabba. The number of gang casualties has not yet been identified and YPG seized large amounts of guns and ammunitions during its operation.
