Soldiers raid villages, detain dozens in Şırnak

Turkish soldiers raided several villages and detained dozens of people in Şırnak province.

Soldiers of the Turkish army conducted raids on Cifanê, Aket, Serêdehlê, Şilerit, Avgamasiya villages and the coal mines in Cudi region in Şırnak countryside Saturday morning. Dozens of people were taken into custody during the raids.

According to reports, 27 people were taken to İkizce Gendarmerie Station and many others to military outposts near the villages.

Reports suggest that the military siege on the villages and coal mines remains and soldiers have blocked entry and exit points in the region.
