Soldiers affiliated to the Turkish army have raided a number of houses in Sitîlîlê (Akarsu) neighborhood of Mardin's Nusaybin district this morning.

Six people including an employee of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality have been detained in the raid-operation during which soldiers have conducted a very detailed search and messed the targeted houses up.

While the reason of the operation was not immediately clear, the detainees have been taken to Nusaybin Gendarmerie Command.
